2020 Cinema Vernissage Online

Cinema Vernissage Online will present nominees on the eve of the Golden Whirlwind, The IV National Film Award.

Cinema Vernissage Online will be held from April 20 to May 2 with the support of the Ukrainian Film Academy and will be broadcast live on Hromadske Int.

Under quarantine conditions aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus, collective movie screenings at the movie theater became completely impossible. The Fourth National Film Awards ceremony is scheduled for May 3 and will take place online.

Quarantine measures made it impossible not only to watch films in the movie theaters but also significantly limited the work on the popularization of Ukrainian cinema, in particular, the achievements of 2019, which are marked by the Golden Dzyga Film Award.

What is Cinema Vernissage Online?

  • Joint screening of films online, whose creators are nominated for the Golden Dzyga Film Award, IV National Film Award.
  • Meetings with the nominees and live discussion of the films.
  • Opportunity to ask questions about their work to Ukrainian actors/directors/cinematographers, etc., directly in the chat.

What we offer:

  • To legally watch those films nominees, which are available on the platforms Takflix, Megogo and OLL.tv and join the discussion with their creators. Most of the films participating in the project were produced with the support of the State Film Agency of Ukraine.

The moderators will be professional film critics, film journalists, TV anchors and program coordinators of the largest Ukrainian film festivals.

Every day from April 20 to May 2 at 8 p.m., turn on Hromadske Int. and join the discussion.
